To kick off the second quarter of the project we have the theme of Landscape | Zoomed In.
Ironically I had been playing around a week or so before this trying to figure out how to best use a long zoom lens to bring a different look or feel to my landscape work. The long lens has great compression and can really emphasize those distant elements of a scene, however in my neck of the woods it is hard to find a landscape that has distant elements you can see through the forest.
These were some of my favorite experiments from the week and I like the final image of the small pine with snow falling during a golden sunrise. That being said I still have more practicing to do using long lenses in my landscape work.
