Sometimes we just need to behave like children and share more. Because of that I’ve decided to begin a series of posts here in the Journal that do just that, share with you the things that I’m enjoying, finding inspirational, or just think you’ll also enjoy.
The hope is to make it a regular feature once per week to go with my usual posts, and I need to think of a fun and catchy name for these posts, but we’ll figure out the technical details as we go because right now I just want to get to the sharing!
For those of you that don’t already know this, Chase Jarvis is a creatives creative. A photographer, director, and Founder/CEO of a little something you may have heard of called CreativeLive. It was only fairly recently that I found out he also had a podcast out to compliment his live video show he was doing and so have been absolutely enjoying catching up on the back catalog.
I’m sure I’ll be sharing more of his episodes going forward but there is one in particular that I really want you guys to check out and it is the episode featuring Gregory Heisler in which he talks about Embracing Your Own Uniqueness. Something that we have been talking about here on the site.
There is so much awesome insight from Gregory in this episode that I highly suggest you have a notepad handy as you give multiple listens. I won’t spoil the details for you, but I really do think you’ll enjoy this one.

He also has a fantastic book out called Gregory Heisler: 50 Portraits: Stories and Techniques from a Photographer’s Photographer.
I don’t have it on my shelf just yet but have looked through it many times at various book stores since it’s release and it is amazing.
